1. Who We Are
The Bible Tells Me So ("TBTMS," "we," "our," or "us") is a non-profit organization dedicated to helping children and families grow in faith through Scripture-based music, videos, and printed publications. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and protect information when you use the TBTMS Audio App ("the App").

2. Who This App Is For
The TBTMS Music App is designed to be used by families. It contains children's music intended for ages 0-12, but accounts are created and managed by parents or guardians on behalf of their children.
We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. Account registration requires a parent or guardian's email address. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account without parental consent, please contact us at mail@thebibletellsmeso.com and we will delete the account promptly.
3. Information We Collect
Information you provide:

Email address — required to create an account

Display name — optional, set by the account holder

Profile icon — optional; a preset face icon and color you choose within the App (no photo is uploaded)
Information generated by your use of the App:

Favorites — songs you have marked as favorites

Playlists — playlists you create and the songs they contain

Playback data — play counts and song interaction data used to improve the App

Account identifier — a unique ID assigned to your account so your favorites, playlists, and settings can be saved and restored
Information we do NOT collect:

We do not collect your location

We do not run ads or share data with advertisers

We do not use advertising or behavioral analytics SDKs (see Section 10 regarding crash reporting)

We do not collect payment information (the App is currently free)
4. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect solely to:

Create and manage your account

Save your favorites and playlists across devices

Enable offline listening (downloaded songs stored on your device only)

Improve the App's content and performance

Respond to support requests
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.
5. Data Storage and Third-Party Services
Your account data (email, display name, favorites, playlists) is stored securely using Google Firebase, a cloud platform provided by Google LLC. Firebase stores data on Google's servers, which may be located outside your country.
Music audio files are stored in Google Cloud Storage and streamed directly to your device. You can review Google's privacy practices at: https://policies.google.com/privacy. We do not use any other third-party data processors.
6. Children's Privacy (COPPA)
The TBTMS Music App is designed for family use. In compliance with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA):

We do not display advertising of any kind within the App
If you are located in the European Union, additional rights apply under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) — see Section 8 below.
7. Data Retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your personal information (email, display name, favorites, playlists) will be permanently deleted within 30 days.

Downloaded audio files stored on your device are managed by you and can be removed by uninstalling the App or using the App's download management features.
8. Your Rights (GDPR — EU/EEA Users)
If you are located in the European Union or European Economic Area, you have the right to:

9. Security
We use industry-standard security measures to protect your information, including encrypted data transmission (HTTPS) and Firebase security rules that restrict access to your account data to you alone. No method of electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Diagnostics and Crash Reports
To keep the app working reliably, we use Firebase Crashlytics, a service provided by Google, to collect crash reports and diagnostic information when the app stops unexpectedly. This may include your device type, operating system version, and technical details about what the app was doing when the problem occurred.
We use this information only to find and fix problems in the app. It is not linked to your name or account, is not used for advertising, and is not used to track you across other apps or websites.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. If changes are significant, we will notify users within the App.
